Bhutan Short Tour is undoubtedly one of the most popular tours in Bhutan that showcase the uniqueness of the dragon kingdom in various aspects. Taking travelers to the lap of nature in an ideal destination, this short and easy tour in Bhutan commences with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Paro or one could directly fly into Bhutan from their home country. Like so many different Bhutan tour packages beginning with a few days to more than 10 days, this short tour will drag you to witness the magnificence and antique wealth of the major cities of Thimphu and Paro.

The foremost fascinations of Paro include visits to Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong, and Kyichu Lhakhang. Rinpung Dzong is popularly known to be the fortress of the heap of jewels; Ta Dzong is the national museum, and Kyichu Lhakhang, the Jowo Temple, is the oldest temple of Bhutan. The most popular landmark in the entire nation, the Taktshang Monastery, which is commonly known by the name of Tiger’s Nest makes a place for itself on the top destination in Bhutan list. A mind-blowing hike to the Tiger’s Nest finds a place in most of the top tour packages of Bhutan operated by all travel agencies. Perched on the side of a cliff at an elevated valley, mythology mentions about the spiritual head Guru Padmasambhava flew here on a tiger’s back and meditated for three years three months three weeks three days and three hours sometime back during the 8th century.

The alluring locations of interest not to miss in Thimphu include the Memorial Chorten, Tashicho Dzong, the National Library, the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Motithang Takin Preserve, and Kuensel Phodrang. The Memorial Chorten is a Tibetan-styled chorten outlined on the blueprint of an orthodox stupa with a pyramid-shaped pillar rounded off by a crescent moon and sun. Tashicho Dzong is a Buddhist fortress on the northern edge of Thimphu, which traditionally has been the seat of the Druk Desi and also the summer capital of Bhutan. The National Library, known locally as Druk Gyelyong was primarily founded for the purpose of safeguarding and endorsement of the rich cultural and religious heritage of Bhutan in 1967 under the patronage of Queen Ashi Phuntso Choden. The National Institute of Traditional Medicine amasses medicinal plants from far-off bends of Bhutan’s countryside and dispenses pills, tablets, ointments, and herbal teas to provincial health-care divisions in the entire nation. Motithang Takin Preserve was formerly a mini-zoo that was renovated to a wildlife reserve area for the Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. Kuensel Phodrang also called the Buddha point is a colossal Buddha statue (Great Buddha Dordenma) from where visitors get a good overview of Thimphu valley. The statue is one of the largest in the world and the largest Shakyamuni Buddha statue in Bhutan made of bronze and gilded in gold.
