I was a solo female traveler and quite concerned about my personal safety while planning for the Annapurna Base Camp trek during April. Not an easily convinceable person, I wasn’t quite comfortable till the day my trek began. But as I got to know my companion, Nawaraj Tiwari, who was my guide, and Sabin Tamang ,the porter while walking the first few hours, they were probably the most trustworthy, caring, kind, and helpful people to be found on this planet.
