Royal Holidays Adventure offers you the Mera peak climbing itinerary by inviting you to join us on our 15-day exhilarating journey to the summit of this 6,000-meter trekking peak. Mera peak climbing route traverses a less populated area of the Khumbu region. The trail ascends through picturesque Sherpa villages and verdant forests, presenting breathtaking landscapes.

Mera Peak rises to an elevation of 6,476 meters (21,247 ft) above sea level, situated to the south of Mt. Everest. It features three summits—Mera North (6,476 m/21,247 ft), Mera Central (6,461 m/21,198 ft), and Mera South (6,065 m/19,898 ft). J. O. M Roberts and Sen Tenzing were the first to successfully summit Mera Peak in 1953. Subsequently, in 1975, French climbers Marcel Jolly, G. Baus, and L. Honnis ascended the north peak via the same route, but by traversing along the connecting ridge to the summit.

The Mera Peak climbing route is not well-trodden. You will explore the Hongu and Hinku valleys. Given that the climbing route does not exceed an incline of 30 degrees, we recommend Mera Peak climbing in 2025-2026 as a suitable option for novice climbers. Our experienced Sherpa guides will establish the ropes and ensure the safety of the fixed lines. Consequently, you will be able to reach the summit of Mera Peak securely.

Your adventure commences with a picturesque flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This is subsequently followed by an exploration of local Sherpa villages and cultural immersion throughout the journey. The trek includes the crossing of the Zatra La Pass (4,610m), and with the assistance of a proficient climbing leader, you will arrive at the summit, where you can relish a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain ranges. The climb necessitates physical fitness and some climbing experience, but it guarantees an unforgettable adventure.
